Award Recipients

Each year, the Association recognizes four individuals for our most prestigious awards, REALTOR®, Rookie, Affiliate of the Year and Good Neighbor. The recipients have contributed hundreds of hours to causes that benefited the general membership and have also dedicated time to many community programs.

2014 REALTOR® of the Year

Kim Ott - Our 2014 REALTOR® of the Year is a high achiever with heart and spirit. She is no stranger to being recognized for her involvement and dedication. In 1999, her very first year in real estate, she sold a very impressive 28 homes and was named Bay East Rookie of the Year. She has proven that you one can volunteer and serve at a very high level and still be highly productive.

When you think of integrity and effervescence Kim is at the top of the list. At C.A.R., she served as the Expo Chair, on the Board of Directors and the YPN Committee. She is a long time member of Valley Real Estate Network and the Real Estate Alliance of Livermore where she has also served as President.

Kim is dedicated to giving back to the community too. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Sandra J. Wing Healing Therapies Foundation and chairs its Care Committee to help provide cancer patients with financial assistance during their treatment period.

As our 2015 President-Elect, Kim Ott, with Alain Pinel, REALTORS® in the Pleasanton/Livermore Valley office has demonstrated her commitment to Bay East and the real estate community.

2014 Rookie of the Year

Elizabeth Hall - Our award winner embraces being an entrepreneur, first as a marketing company owner in San Diego and now with her real estate career in the greater Bay Area. She strives to combine her marketing experience, real estate roots, and entrepreneurial spirit to provide the utmost care and professional confidence when finding that perfect residence or investment home for her clients.

Not only did Elizabeth sell an impressive number of homes in 2014, she is passionate about getting involved with both the REALTOR® and local communities. She served on several committees and was involved with the Chamber of Commerce. She understands and embraces the necessity and significance of being involved and believes that it enriches her financial success.

Elizabeth serves on the Bay East YPN Committee.

2014 Affiliate of the Year

Brad Warren - Since joining Bay East in 2007 Brad has become active with the marketing groups. He brings his passion for education and public speaking to his role as affiliate liaison at the Central County Marketing meeting. He continually shares his knowledge of time management, negotiation skills, lead generation and goal setting at the numerous classes he teaches to Bay East members.

Our award winner also devoted much time and energy to help raise funds for the Foundation and Members Helping Members as the Georgie Porgie Mini Golf Tournament vice-chair and as a Bay East Foundation Trustee.

2014 Good Neighbor of the Year

Bill Aboumrad - The 2014 Good Neighbor of the Year is all about giving back, paying it forward and investing in his community. Over the years Mony has been involved as an instructional aide, basketball coach and Rotarian. He started his own foundation to provide Tri-Valley middle and high school students with volunteer experiences and financial scholarship support to attend camps and programs in the areas of art, athletics and leadership development.

Mony finds great satisfaction in opening doors, changing lives, empowering youth and growing leaders. He is a passionate and determined individual, someone who will make a difference.

How Are They Chosen?

The Leadership Development Committee looks for members who are involved in the Association and the community, whose ethical and professional behavior makes them role models for others in the industry. The ideal candidate is well rounded - active in both real estate and community.

Candidates are asked to complete a questionnaire detailing their real estate, education, and community involvement.

Recipients are announced at the annual Inaugural gala, local newspapers, all Bay East publications, and the Bay East website.
