Open Home Fair

Bay East Association of REALTORS® is organizing an area wide Open Home Fair on Sunday, June 1, designed to promote the wide variety of homes available in today’s market. We anticipate that approximately 500 homes will be held in the East Bay.

To participate in the REALTOR® Open Home Fair, you will need to complete a commitment form. These forms can be filled out at the Bay East Offices or faxed to (925) 730-0237. All participants will receive a free Open Home Fair Kit which contains tools to help attract potential homebuyers to your open house. Included in the kit are:

  • Bright Yellow Open Home Yard Sign
  • Event Instruction Information - including how to input open homes into HomesOpenToday.com
  • Raffle Prize Entry Form Sheet
  • Sponsor Flyers/Consumer Handouts
  • Postcards (sellers and REALTOR®)
  • Letter to Homeseller from REALTOR®
  • Return Envelope for Prize Entry Forms
  • Sign with List of Raffle Prizes
  • Sign Ordinance Information
REALTORS® will also have the opportunity to advertise your listings in a featured section of the Hayward Daily Review, Fremont Argus, Tri-Valley Herald and Tri-Valley Times newspapers at a special rate. Affiliates can also advertise their services in a special section.

    • Open homes listed on HomesOpenToday.com, will be included on an open home fair map that can be downloaded from the Bay East website. The success of this event relies on the participation of our members. Plan now to hold your listings open on June 1.
    • After May 12: Pick up an Open Home Fair Kit at Bay East offices and send out the enclosed cards and letter. Additional postcards are available from Zippees Printing at a special price.
    • May 19: Attend the Profitable Open Homes class
    • Before May 21: Contact Athena Hoover of Bay Area News Group at (925) 730-3346 to ensure listings are featured in the special section of the newspaper.
    • Before May 27: Put listing on HomesOpenToday.com
    • June 1: Create a festive atmosphere and hold home open from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
