Bay East Association of REALTORS® is proud to present the following candidates for the 2013 Officer and Director Elections. Please take the time to read their statements and get to know them at your local district forum before the online voting begins on August 3.

	President Craig Ragg Craig Ragg Real Estate Read his statement As President, I am committed to leading Bay East through the ever-changing landscape of our profession and focus my efforts on our mission of helping members succeed as real estate professionals. Predicting the future is difficult, however I believe Bay East is prepared for what may lie ahead. In the coming year, I will collaborate with our membership, leadership team, C.A.R and N.A.R. to seek input and guidance so we can collectively shape Bay East’s future and have an impact on organized real estate. 	President-Elect Jennifer Branchini BHG Tri-Valley Realty Read her statement As an active volunteer for Bay East Association of REALTORS®, I’ve spent the past several years serving on various committees with our best interests in mind. As Treasurer this year, I have gained valuable insight into our direction as an organization and our industry. Professionalism, education and innovation are priorities for me. Our industry is evolving faster than ever with technology and information. We must maintain an active role to ensure the longevity of our profession. Representing you as our president-elect is a privilege and duty that I am eager to embrace. X
	Treasurer Michael Fracisco Fracisco Realty Read his statement I am honored to be a candidate for Treasurer in 2013 for BayEast. My objectives to serve as your Treasurer is to continue to represent the voice of all REALTOR® and Affiliate members by promoting Professionalism, Education, Ethics, Diversity and Leadership throughout our Association. I believe it is important to support the Business needs of our REALTOR® and Affiliate members to help them be successful in our industry. I'm committed to representing the Membership of BayEast with Integrity and Professionalism. X

District 1: Central County Region (2 Vacancies)

	Tim Ambrose Prudential CA Realty Read his statement After serving on the Board for the past 2 years representing REALTORS® in District 1, my passion to be a voice for REALTORS® has grown astronomically. I will continue to represent the District by taking your ideas and suggestions to the board. I’ll take a stance to encourage change and fight for what’s best for the District and Bay East as an association. I will also continue to bring new prospective and new ideas to improve and enhance our association and our industry. X
	Joe Annunziato III Annunziato & Associates Read his statement A BayEast member for over ten years I continue to learn of our association’s growing value daily. As a member of the MLS Committee, Executive Committee, BOD, POG, and M3 Committee chair, I’ve been fortunate to learn from both BayEast staff and other committee members how important our association is to our business as REALTORS®. I’m pleased to be part of such a professional organization and look forward to contributing to an organization that always strives to put our members’ interests first. I look forward to continuing serving as a member of your Board of Directors. X

	June Burckhardt Legacy Real Estate & Associates Read her statement Being involved and making a difference is essential to the real estate industry. Our current market, now more than ever, requires ethical and professional volunteers that are innovative in their efforts. These are hallmarks as to how I work Continuing my education is critical for my leadership role. As volunteers we need to continue reach out to our membership listening to their needs. Technology is emerging at warp speed and BayEast is at the forefront in offering these products and services. I want to continue to offer my time and energy in communicating and receiving pertinent information from our membership. X
	Lu Jayo Landmark Investment Prop Read her statement I am proud to be a member of Bay East Association of REALTORS®. We have many benefits that many other Associations do not provide. We are the most diverse group of REALTORS®. I honestly believe I can help bridge the communication gap among our diverse group, to exercise and utilize the benefits available, such as education and other programs to better ourselves. A professional, ethical, and reputable industry is also a part of my agenda. I have a proven leadership experience, knowledge, and ideas that will help move our Association onward and upward…this motivates me to serve. X
	Don Rettig Legacy Real Estate & Associates Read his statement Currently due to the market were in with the abundance of REO’s and Short Sales and the lack of adequate training of many of the current agents, there exists a lack of Professionalism throughout the Real Estate industry. If elected to the Board of Directors I will focus on this issue and try to bring back some of the Professional attitudes we use to see observed. As single point of entry into our MLS system is important to all of us, I will work toward trying to unfold the political objections that has kept us divided on this important issue. X

RE is still a "people" business. I’ll make it my personal goal to be the conduit to members to voice concerns to BayEast leadership. Never before has there been such a threat to homeownership for Americans, and all that is the "American Dream". Some issues I see having a direct effect on homeownership and our business: Dual Tracking of Short Sales/Loan Modifications with Foreclosures, threat to the Mortgage Interest Deduction, Uncertain future for Short Sales, and Expiration of Mortgage Debt Relief Act.
