City equity participation at time of sale:

Yes for “market-rate” homes purchased using the assistance program. Purchaser must pay to the City at time of loan repayment the greater of either the loan principle and interest based on amount set at time loan was made or an equity share based on the amount of the City's loan in proportion to the value of the property less the original purchase price.

Program participants using the assistance to purchase “below market rate” resale-restricted units are exempt from sharing any equity with the city.
