Foundation Scholarships and Grants Criteria

Thank you for your interest in the Bay East Foundation Scholarships and Grants Program. Below you will find the general outline and qualifications for a scholarship or grant. The application will walk you through each item mentioned below - click here for application.

The deadline for returning the application is May 31, 2010. Before you mail the application with the supporting documents to the Foundation Trustees, please make sure that you review and complete all the requirements for either a Scholarship or Grant. INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS AND APPLICATIONS RECEIVED WITHOUT COPIES OF REQUIRED DOCUMENTS WILL BE REJECTED.

    For Scholarships

  • Sponsor has contributed to Bay East Foundation via annual dues billing.
  • Have a minimum accumulative GPA of 3.0 and be a full-time student. (GPA's below 3.0, see Grants section)
  • Complete the application.
  • Provide copies of all relevant current transcripts.
  • Provide a copy of your driver's license and social security card.
  • Proof of acceptance to the institute of higher learning
  • You must be a full-time student and submit proof of the institute's minimum criteria for full-time student status (part-time students, see Grants)
  • Two letters of recommendation, dated within six (6) months of application date.
  • A one-page, double-spaced typed essay explaining that if you are awarded a scholarship what affect it will have on your future career plans? Short-term and long-term?
  • For Grants

  • Grants are for those students who are in need of financial assistance and who are not otherwise qualified for a scholarship.
  • Sponsor has contributed to Bay East Foundation via annual dues billing.
  • Complete the application.
  • Provide copies of all relevant current transcripts
  • Provide a copy your driver's license and social security
  • Proof of acceptance to the institute of higher learning
  • Two letters of recommendation, dated within six (6) months of application date.
  • A one-page, double-spaced typed explanation outlining your request for a Grant and how it will assist you in your educational goals.
  • Any additional supporting documents you feel necessary.

When completed, the application with all the required documentation should be mailed to the attention of the Bay East Foundation Trustees at 7901 Stoneridge Drive, Suite 150, Pleasanton, CA, 94588.
