Code of Ethics

NAR adopted the Code of Ethics in 1913, following the professions of medicine, law, and engineering.REALTORS® are real estate professionals who have chosen to join the National Association and abide by its strict Code of Ethics.

NAR has made some changes to the 2012 Code of Ethics and added a new Case Interpretation. To help you understand the changes and remain compliant with the Code of Ethics, the Professional Standards Committees offer the following documentation:
